Elmfield Place is stylish in design, with twists of the contemporary merged perfectly to provide an established living space. One of these twists is a unique sculpture by Elliott Brotherton, a sculptor who lives and works in Goudhurst, Kent. Elliott, 29, established his business, EB Sculptures, in 2000 and has since had a number of commissions in London and the South East. He has completed 4 pieces for Appledore Developments to date with his latest piece ‘Flame’ taking pride of place at Elmfield Place. Grant Beadle, Commercial Director for Appledore Developments comments ‘We are delighted to have Elliott’s work featured at Elmfield Place, as this is the fourth sculpture he has now conceived for us. Elliott’s work integrates with its natural surroundings, giving the landscaped gardens a focal point and enhancing the environment. At Appledore we feel it is important to contribute to the entire development providing a pleasant atmosphere. The sculpture is placed in the communal gardens, helping to create a contemporary, yet relaxing area for purchasers to enjoy’. Elliott studied ceramics, but found the medium too restrictive. Whilst at the Portland Trust, Elliott began to experiment with stone, where he was inspired by the freedom and purity of direct carving. Elliott comments, ‘The ‘Flame’ at Elmfield Place, and the other pieces at Appledore’s developments are extremely powerful and have a unique and abstract quality. The pieces add depth and inspiration to each development, and I am delighted to have been asked to provide work again for Appledore’. Elmfield Place is a development of 10 apartments and duplexes in total including two penthouses. The apartments are highly specified with a choice of both contemporary and traditional design. Each home comes complete with a fully fitted kitchen, including appliances such as oven, microwave, 5-ring hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer by AEG and Italian ceramic floor tiles to compliment furniture. Bathrooms are complete with pristine white sanitaryware, Aqualisa showers, heated towel rails and Italian ceramic tiling. Prices start at £305,000.
